CNBC’s Jay Leno’s Garage Sees 50% Decline with Season II Premiere
The second seasons of CNBC’s primetime program Jay Leno’s Garage premiered recently and despite all the promotion, including a cameo on The Tonight Show, the premiere episode was down 51 percent in total viewers, averaging just 449,000 compared to the Season 1 premiere which brought in 916,000 total viewers. In the demo – the new season debut saw a massive 43 percent drop from 272,000 to just 154,000 viewers. In addition, the launch failed to beat a repeat of Shark Tank last night that aired in the 9PM/ET timeslot just before Leno’s 10PM/ET premiere.
Last night’s debut also lagged behind the Season I average – which brought in 598,000 total viewers and 226,000 in the demo for season.
The latest numbers show more bad news for CNBC which continues to suffer a hemorrhaging of viewers.
